Homework expectations
Children are expected to read their books at least three times a week but every night is encouraged.
Please encourage your child to read, ask questions and remember to sign their reading diary.
Weekly Topic, Maths and Spelling home work is set on a Friday and is expected to be completed and handed in the following Wednesday.
Children’s contribution and efforts for homework are rewarded through ‘WOW Homework’ displayed on the classroom door as well as dojo points. Additionally, children are selected for ‘Reader of the Week’ which is also display on the classroom window, and receive a book mark and small treat.
R.E homework is also given out weekly linked to the Wednesday Word which is the Gospel story ahead of Sunday’s Mass. The homework is handed out on a Wednesday and due in the following Wednesday. Please ensure you keep your copy of the Wednesday Word (which is distributed on a Tuesday) to help with the follow up task.
Behaviour Expectations
Key Stage Two use Dojo's as rewards. Children can earn dojo points for a variety of reasons! Such as: Demonstrating the half term virtue, good behaviour, homework, participation, effort and attitude to learning…just to name a few!
Children are encouraged to earn dojos individually to help the class receive a half term treat.
P.E Expectations:
Outdoor PE: Monday
Indoor PE: Thursday
Children are expected to wear:
Indoor P.E
Plain red St Anne’s round neck T-shirt with school logo.
Plain black shorts.
Plain black pumps (for indoor P.E only)
Outdoor P.E
Plain, dark coloured (black, navy or grey) tracksuit top and Underneath they wear their school red PE top.
Trainers are required for outdoor lessons.
