We Are Proud to Have Achieved the Participator Award!

We are delighted to announce that Saint Anne's has successfully achieved the Participator Level of the Oscar Romero Award, recognising our commitment to living out the values of Catholic Social Teaching in all aspects of school life. This achievement celebrates the work of our pupils, staff and families in putting faith into action and serving others with compassion, dignity and justice.

The Oscar Romero Award supports Catholic schools in becoming communities that actively live the Gospel message. Inspired by St Oscar Romero, the award encourages schools to empower young people to become agents of change, standing up for those in need and working for a fairer world. St Oscar Romero is remembered as the "voice of the voiceless" and challenged us all to“aspire not to have more, but to be more.”

The award is rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and recognises how schools embed these principles through:

• Strategic leadership and decision-making
• Teaching and learning across the curriculum
• Practical actions that serve others and enhance life within the community 

Achieving the Participator Award acknowledges that Catholic Social Teaching is already present throughout our school community and forms part of our everyday life. It recognises the foundations we have built in creating a caring, inclusive and faith-filled environment where everyone is encouraged to flourish. 

This achievement reflects our school's mission to develop children who live out Gospel values through their words and actions. We are committed to continuing this journey as we work towards the next stage of the Oscar Romero Award, further strengthening our commitment to justice, service and the common good.
