At Saint Anne's, we believe that our faith journey is one we share as a community — and our pupils play a vital role in making that journey meaningful and alive for everyone in our school.
At Saint Anne's, every child is part of our faith journey. We believe that chaplaincy is not just a role — it’s a way of living out our Gospel values every day. All pupils are encouraged to take an active role in the spiritual life of the school, from classroom prayer and reflection to whole-school liturgies and charitable outreach.
To further support and enrich this, we have special pupil leadership roles that form our Chaplaincy Teams. These include:
Liturgical Leaders – Pupils who help prepare and lead times of prayer, Masses, and seasonal liturgies. They ensure our worship is meaningful, reverent, and inclusive.
Caritas Ambassadors (in partnership with Father Hudson’s Caritas) – Pupils who focus on living out Catholic Social Teaching by leading charitable projects, fundraising, and community action. They put faith into action and help raise awareness of important social justice issues.
These pupil chaplains and leaders work closely with our staff and local parish to nurture a vibrant faith community where everyone is valued, involved, and inspired to grow.
Our Pupil Chaplains are involved in a variety of roles, including:
🙏 Leading Prayer and Worship: Organising and leading collective worship, prayer services, and special liturgical celebrations.
💬 Spiritual Ambassadors: Promoting the school’s Christian ethos through acts of kindness, charity events, and community outreach.
📖 Supporting RE and Faith Events: Assisting with assemblies, seasonal reflections (Advent, Lent), and RE-based initiatives.
🤝 Welcoming Guests and New Pupils: Acting as faith ambassadors during school events and transition days.
❤️ Making a Difference: Leading fundraising and social justice initiatives aligned with our Gospel values.
