As physicists, we are learning about Electricity in our unit Switched On.

By the end of this unit, we will be able to:

• Know that a source of electricity (mains of battery) is needed for electrical devices to work
• Know that electricity sources push electricity round a circuit
• Know that electricity sources push electricity round a circuit
• Know that devices work harder when more electricity goes through them
• Know that a complete circuit is needed for electricity to flow and devices to work
• Know that some materials allow electricity to flow easily and these are called conductors
• Know that materials that don’t allow electricity to flow easily are called insulators
