Resources to support those seeking Refuge and Asylum

As a School of Sanctuary, we aim to foster a place of safety and security for all children, parents and families in our local community. Here are some additional websites and resources that can offer support to those have previously or are currently seeking refuge.

  • School of Sanctuary Organisation Website We are a national network of over 400 primary and secondary schools, nurseries and sixth forms all committed to creating a culture of welcome and inclusion for refugees and people seeking asylum.
  • Father Hudson's Charity We are the Social Care Agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham. Our aim is to offer help and support to people in need, improving their quality of life.
  • Seeds of Hope Community Centre - Kingshurst Overview ​About Us We are the community hub in Kingshurst working for and with the community offering various activities for all ages. We offer the opportunity for people to mix and meet others who share the same interests. Giving the people with a community spirit the chance to get involved to use and share their skills.
  • UK Trauma Council - Childhood Trauma from Migration and Asylum The UK Trauma Council has just shared their brand new resources on childhood trauma, war, migration and asylum resources. They are fantastic, accessible sources of practical advice and information aimed specifically at people working in schools.

  • Barrow Cadbury Trust We are an independent charitable foundation committed to bringing about socially just change.
  • Refugee Action At Refugee Action, we've spent 35 years helping refugees build safe, hopeful and productive new lives in the UK. Join us now to help refugees live again.
  • Asylum Aid Asylum Aid provides free legal advice and representation to refugees and asylum seekers as well as advocating on their behalf.
