As physicists, we are learning about Sound in our unit Good Vibrations.
By the end of this unit, we will able to:
- Know that sound travels from its source in all directions and we hear it when it travels to our ears
- Know that sound travel can be blocked Know that sound spreads out as it travels
- Know that changing the shape, size and material of an object will change the sound it produces
- Know that sound is produced when an object vibrates
- Know that sound moves through all materials by making them vibrate
- Know that changing the way an object vibrates changes its sound
- Know that bigger vibrations produce louder sounds and smaller vibrations produce quieter sounds
- Know that faster vibrations (higher frequencies) produce higher pitched sounds
