As physicists, we are learning about Sound in our unit Good Vibrations.

By the end of this unit, we will able to:

• Know that sound travels from its source in all directions and we hear it when it travels to our ears
• Know that sound travel can be blocked Know that sound spreads out as it travels
• Know that changing the shape, size and material of an object will change the sound it produces
• Know that sound is produced when an object vibrates
• Know that sound moves through all materials by making them vibrate
• Know that changing the way an object vibrates changes its sound
• Know that bigger vibrations produce louder sounds and smaller vibrations produce quieter sounds
• Know that faster vibrations (higher frequencies) produce higher pitched sounds
