    Catholic Social Teaching

Catholic Social Teaching is based on the belief that God has a plan for this world, a plan to build his kingdom of peace, love and justice. It is rooted in scripture and is our moral compass in living out our faith in the world. We are called to walk in the footsteps of Christ and bring his love and Gospel to our world. God has a special plan for every single one of us, whoever we are. Our part in this involves every aspect of our lives, from the things we pray about, to how we live as a caring, responsible person. It is a vocation for the common good of everyone. We must treat everyone as our brothers and sisters, it is something that we all share.

The Catholic Church has seven principles of social teaching and we will think about these in school, just like our virtues; through the curriculum, special events, activities and through our ordinary actions in school. During their time at St Anne’s, your child will progress through this programme and will be enriched in and through Catholic Social Teaching at different points throughout the year.
